Some months ago, PAFSO executive board members Kirk Duguid and Cael Husband decided that it was time that PAFSO got its creative juices flowing and had some fun. The result was a photo contest, open to all members and their families, to find the most innovative photographers and compelling images. The theme was as inclusive as it was apt: the Foreign Service experience. The central idea was to expand our horizons on where a career in the Foreign Service could take us.
bout signed on immediately, delighted to commit a number of its jealously-guarded “colour pages” to showcase the most talented. Well we might: bout had organized a similar contest in the early nineties. Several experienced foreign service photographers were recruited as judges: Bernard Nguyen, Jennifer MacNeil, and Daniel Marchand (who has several exhibitions to his credit since retiring).
