William Warden joined the Department of External Affairs in 1961. He served as Commissioner to Hong Kong, Ambassador to Pakistan and High Commissioner to India. On leaving New Delhi, he became Foreign Service visitor at the University of Calgary, and stayed on under Executive Interchange Canada to become Executive Director of the University of Calgary’s new International Centre. He resigned from the Department of External Affairs June 30, 1988.
