Peter MacArthur has served in Moscow, New Delhi and Bombay prior to his posting to Canberra. From 1990-92 he was Deputy Director, Central and Eastern Europe Trade Development Division. He is married to Karen Jarman, an Australian DFAT officer whom he met in New Delhi, and who was on exchange in Ottawa from 1990-92 in Western Europe Relations Division.
