Before his death in July 2002, Dr. Sameh Kamel was Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). Dr. Larry Woods taught at the University of Northern British Columbia before his current post at the AUS where he is Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations. Among other publications, Dr. Woods edited Herbert Norman’s 1940 book, Japan’s Emergence as a Modern State for republication by the University of British Columbia Press in 2000.
