Conan W. Purves was born to Canadian parents in Berkeley, California in 1969 and moved to Vancouver Island when he was ten. He graduated from Reed College, Oregon with a history degree. Because of his uncle’s career at EAITC, Conan has had many opportunities to travel and view first-hand Canada’s contributions to the world. He hopes to follow in his uncle’s footsteps in the Foreign Service. His uncle is John Bell, a former Ambassador to Brazil, and currently Special Advisor to the SSEA on the Environment.
